Two firemen die in blaze in Sept. 11-damaged building

NY1 reports two firemen have died and another has been injured fighting a smoky fire today on the upper floors of the Deutsche Bank skyscraper, which has been abandoned since it was badly damaged by debris from the World Trade Center collapse nearly six years ago.
The building, located at 130 Liberty St., map, is directly south of Ground Zero. It stands literally across the street from the bronze mural to the 343 firefighters killed on September 11.
Earlier this year more fragments of human remains were found at the contaminated building. The deconstruction of the building started in March. Fourteen stories of the 40-story building had already been removed, according to the New York Times.

The building is still burning tonight, according to 1010 WINS, which reports that scaffolding is falling to the streets below, which have been closed to traffic.
