Free admission at Dahesh Museum all summer

There are a lot of museums with free hours in New York City this summer, but the Dahesh Museum of Art has just raised the bar.
The museum is dropping its $10 admission for all of June, July and August.
On view, you'll find works from its permanent collection, which focuses on 19th- and early 20th-century Europe, including a section on Napoleon's reconnaissance on the Nile.
Before this summer, the Dahesh would allow free admission only for its First Thursdays programming. The museum will continue with those free events, which tonight includes gallery tours from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Starting July 5, the museum will add a cash bar to its Café Opaline for First Thursdays.
The Dahesh is located at 580 Madison Ave. between 56th and 57th streets, map.
