No pope for you, New York - at least in 2007

Although Pope Benedict has accepted an invitation to attend the United Nations headquarters in New York City, the trip won't be happening this year, according to Vatican officials.

Two other popes have visited NYC, according to the report in Newsday: Pope John Paul II visited in 1979 and 1995, while Pope Paul VI delivered a homily at Yankee Stadium in 1965.
