The Plaza to reopen on 100th anniversary - Oct. 1
(Update: Muted centennial celebrations will take place October 1, but the hotel will not open until December or January. There's a waitlist for Plaza rooms starting December 3, and reservations from $775 starting in January 2008.)
The Plaza will reopen as a hotel on it 100th anniversary, October 1, 2007, according to NY1.
NY1 has footage from inside the model apartments that are part of the landmark structure's part-condominium conversion. As-yet-unnamed luxury shops will also occupy the building.
The Plaza has been closed for renovations since the end of April 2005.
