Public announces cast for summer's 'Romeo and Juliet'

laurenambrose.hbo.JPGLauren Ambrose of HBO’s "Six Feet Under" will play Juliet to Oscar Isaac's Romeo in this summer's first Shakespeare in the Park play in Central Park, the New York Times reports.

The free performances of "Romeo and Juliet" will play in the park's Delacorte Theater from June 5 to July 8, with an as-yet-unidentified Shakespeare play scheduled for August 7 to September 9, according to the Public Theater.

Ambrose last year earned praise for her Broadway role in "Awake and Sing!" In 2005, Isaac appeared in Shakespeare in the Park's "Two Gentlemen of Verona."
