On Monday March 12, the day after the new daylight-saving time begins (clocks spring forward by one hour,) Kingsford will be giving away free food all day at Madison Square Park
to celebrate an earlier grilling season.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Aaron Sanchez , the owner of Paladar restaurant, along with pitmaster Chris Lilly and barbecue expert Rick Rodgers will be grilling and smoking food -- all for free. (Details in PDF format.)

Come this summer, Madison Square Park will again host the Big Apple BBQ. The dates: June 9 and 10.
