Broadway's really daring to go to 'Xanadu'
"Xanadu" has launched its official website with the lure: "A Place Where Broadway Never Dared to Go."
Previews start May 23 at the Helen Hayes Theatre with opening night set for June 26. Tickets aren't on sale yet, but the primary cast has been chosen, according to Playbill: Kerry Butler as Kira, James Carpinello as Sonny, Tony Roberts as Danny, Mary Testa as Melpomeny, and Jackie Hoffman as Calliope. The book's by Douglas Carter Beane and the music will be familiar Jeff Lynne and John Farrar tunes from the movie.
