A Malaysian food fest at the U.N. Delegates' Room
An all-you-can-eat Malaysian food festival is set for the United Nations Delegates' Dining Room for April 23 through May 4.
The buffet is priced at $25 per person (plus drinks and tip,) just like a regular lunch at the Delegates' Dining Room.
For the U.N. food festivals, the sponsoring region normally flies in some of its top chefs along with ingredients not typically found in the United States.
The Delegates' Dining Room is open to the public for lunch only, but reservations must be made at least a day in advance by leaving a message at (212) 963-7625. If you go, allow extra time to pass through regular U.N. security downstairs and get your special badge to go upstairs to the dining room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the East River.
A few more U.N. food festivals are tentatively on tap for later this year, including Turin, Italy; Croatia, (Oct. 8-11;) and Portugal, (Oct. 15-26.)
