'Producers' on Broadway may close in March

producersonbroadway.JPGMel Brooks' "The Producers" may end its Broadway run as soon as March, according to the Post, if the musical's original stars -- Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane -- decline to return for another stint before it makes way for "Young Frankenstein."

When the show debuted in 2001, Broderick and lane helped the musical take home a dozen Tony Awards. In 2003 and 2004 they returned for another stint in the starring roles. Currently, Tony Danza is playing Max Bialystock.
