Museum for African Art finds permanent home

museumforafricanart.JPGThe 8-year-old Museum for African Art will finally get a permanent home in 2009 at the northeast corner of Central Park on the northern extension of Museum Mile, the New York Times reports.

The new building, slated for Fifth Avenue between 109th and 110th Streets, will be designed by Robert A. M. Stern and provide the museum with 90,000 square feet, including 16,000 for exhibition space. Upstairs, 115 condos will be built. The museum's pricetag is set at $80 million.
