Empire State Building named favorite U.S. structure

The Empire State Building is the country's most beloved building, according to a new poll by the American Institute of Architects and Harris Interactive.
However, the same survey ranks the destroyed World Trade Center towers as No. 19. It also refers to the structure at No. 13 as Grand Central Station, the name that seeped into pop culture, rather than it's actual name, Grand Central Terminal. (But to be fair, the AIA Guide to New York City gets it right.)
Among the top 150, there are a number of other NYC locations, including both Apple Computer stores in Manhattan: the Fifth Avenue location ranks No. 53, while SoHo is No. 141.
The New York Times Building ranks as No. 68, but the listed architect is Renzo Piano, meaning they're referring to the building currently under construction across the street from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Several New York hotels are also there: the St Regis (No. 16,) the Waldorf-Astoria (No. 46,) The Plaza, (No. 81,) and the Royalton, (No. 133.)
Here are all the other New York structures on the list:
9. Chrysler Building
11. St. Patrick's Cathedral
17. Metropolitan Museum of Art
20. Brooklyn Bridge
23. Cathedral of St. John the Divine
