Average NYC hotel room was $240 in 2006
The average hotel room in New York City hit $240 in 2006, a 39 percent increase from 2002, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers data cited in the New York Times.
That number, as you may guess, is exected to rise againin 2007.
Nationwide, the average hotel room rate was $97 last year.
