The Lowell tops the Post's best NY hotels list for '07
The Lowell leads the Post's list of the best hotels in New York City, but be warned as their rave assessment also noted their room-service breakfast bill topped $100, "par for the course in this town." Huh?
The Lowell is located on the Upper East Side at 28 E. 63rd St., map, with a rack rate starting from $545 nightly. The St. Regis, Trump International, The Mercer and Gramercy Park Hotel round out their top five picks for 2007.
The Murdoch-owned paper also picks New York's six best hotels under $250:
1. East Village Bed & Coffee
2. Abingdon Guest House
3. The Lorelei B&B (in Brooklyn)
4. Second Home on Second Avenue
5. 414 Hotel
6. The Larchmont
And since it's the Post, they also have a list of celebrity hotels in Manhattan. The list includes The Four Seasons, (Jennifer Hudson and Cedric the Entertainer,) The Mercer, (Ricky Gervais,) The Mandarin Oriental (Forest Whitaker,) the St. Regis, (Nicolette Sheridan,) and The Lowell, (James Cromwell.)
