Le Cirque and Del Posto sign on for Restaurant Week

delposto.JPGNow would be the time to secure your reservation for your $24 three-course meal at Del Posto or Le Cirque. Granted, it's actually $24.07 (plus tax, tip and drinks) and it's lunch only.

But they're among the newcomers to Winter Restaurant Week, though this season's offerings indeed have a lot of lunch-only participants.

January 22 to 26 and January 29 to February 2 are the 2007 dates for Winter Restaurant Week(s).

Among the restaurants participating for lunch only are Morimoto, Gramercy Tavern, Tabla, Telepan, Nobu, Aquavit, Asiate, Cafe des Artistes, Craftbar, Chanterelle, davidburke & donatella, Eleven Madison Park, Gotham Bar and Grill, Kittichai, River Cafe, Michael Jordan's the Steakhouse, Tocqueville and Union Square cafe.

Others are taking part for dinner, which is again set at $35. They include Perry Street, Spice Market, Tribeca Grill, 21 Club, the bar room at The Modern, Gallagher's Steak House, Nougatine, Lure Fishbar, Mesa Grill, Artisanal, Terrace in the Sky, SushiSamba, Mercer Kitchen, Chinatown Brasserie, Calle Ocho, Sea Grill, Tavern on the Green, and One if by Land, Two if by Sea.

Many you can book directly through OpenTable.com - for free.
