Stoppard's 'Coast of Utopia' extends to May 13
Tom Stoppard's critically acclaimed "The Coast of Utopia" trilogy will play for an extra two months at Lincoln Center, with a new block of tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m., Playbill reports.
Originally scheduled to close March 10, the three plays will now run though May 13.
The series is made up of three plays: "Voyage," which has been playing for more than a month; "Shipwreck," which started previews last night; and "Salvage," which will start previews January 30. They can be seen separately or all at one go during the "marathon" days: February 24; March 3, 10, 24, 31; April 7, 21, 28; and May 5. (All marathon dates are new except the sold out dates on February 24, March 3 and 10.)
The complex play covers three decades of Russian history and philosophy, cast with 44 actors playing 70 roles. Stars include Billy Crudup, Richard Easton, Jennifer Ehle, Josh Hamilton, David Harbour, Jason Butler Harner, Ethan Hawke, Amy Irving, Brían F. O’Byrne, and Martha Plimpton.
