Late nights at New York museums, and holiday hours
The upcoming opening of the "Night at the Museum" movie seemed an opportune time to update the list of New York museums and attractions with special nighttime hours.
Currently none tops the American Museum of Natural History's sleepover program ($79 for kids.) Although the Bronx Zoo does host birthday party sleepovers, but those start at $4,500 per group.
More common are the late evening museum hours, which often coincide with free admission or special musical performances. NewYorkology has listed them by day of the week. Further down, you'll find a list of museums and attractions that plan to open on Christmas or New Year's Day.
