WTC Museum opening delayed to 2010 - Daily News

The World Trade Center Memorial Museum will not open before the middle of 2010, the Daily News reports today.

However the memorial itself is still on schedule to open in 2009.

Also facing delays to 2011 is the vehicle security center, which will provide parking for 28 buses.

However, the Tribute Center September 11th museum located just south of the WTC site has been open since September 2006.

Update: In the second day story from the Daily News, the Port Authority said its underground vehicle security center woould open in 2011, and WTC Memorial Foundation VP Lynn Rasic said the museum's 2010 opening date is "a conservative estimate."
