Wellington Hotel's room deal: Borat Slept Here - NOT
While Sascha Baron Cohen is facing a barrage of international lawsuits over his movie "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," one of his "victims" is embracing the newfound celebrity.
The Wellington Hotel in Midtown has a launched a "Borat Slept Here - NOT" package.
The room rate, $117.13, is the exact same price Borat had to pay in the semi-faux-documentary.
The Wellington package is good during January and comes with a daily full American Breakfast, discounts at Macy's, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise and a one-day metro card per person, per two-night stay. There is a two-night minimum and double occupancy is required.
In the movie, fake Kazakhstan journalist Borat checks into the hotel and first thinks the hotel's elevator is his actual room.
