'The Coast of Utopia' free-drinks cheat sheet
Don't plan on going unprepared to see "Voyage" part I of Tom Stoppard's Russian trilogy "The Coast of Utopia."
There is homework.
Not only does the theater supply a hand-out on Russian history and a recommended reading list, but there's even a quiz before the show. The good news is you only have to take the quiz if you want a free sample of the "Voyage" cocktail. In case you've missed the joys of cheating on a quiz, consider this NewYorkology's hand-off between first and second-period class.
The show itself is still in previews until November 27, after skipping its original November 5 date. On October 18, Richard Easton collapsed on stage and at least as of this past Saturday's matinee, his role was still in the hands of understudy David Manis.
"Voyage" will be followed by "Shipwreck" and "Salvage." All three will play until March 10 at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont theater. The drinks quiz is after the jump.
