Saks' snowflakes top holiday window displays - Post

Saks Fifth Avenue has the best holiday window display this year among a crowded, solid field, the Post declares.

Saks yesterday pulled back the curtains on its "Perfect Snowflake" decorations across from Rockefeller Center. The series charts the progress of six snowflakes over Manhattan, culminating with "the crystals merging into one snowflake, over animated, lit-up replicas of the Empire State, Chrysler and Rockefeller Center buildings."

Lord & Taylor, (424 Fifth Ave., at 38th Street,) ties for second place with its vintage postcard-inspired windows, along with the busy Bergdorf Goodman, (754 Fifth Ave. at 58th Street,) display with polar bears, Boston terriers, vintage cameras and typewriters.

Barneys (660 Madison Ave., at 61st Street,) does a semi-cynical ode to Andy Warhol and Bloomingdale's, (corner of 59th Street and Lexington Avenue,) weaves in Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Macy's, (34th Street at Herald Square,) is lauded by the Post for its "liveliest display in years" with firee-breathing dragons, push-button interactivity and improved sound system.
