Mars vs. Hershey candy shop faceoff in Times Square

Mars Inc. will open a candy store in Times Square next month not far from rival Hershey’s store.

The news is splashed big in the New York Times today because several thousand people showed up to apply for the store's 200 jobs with starting pay of $10.75 an hour.

Mars, which makes M&Ms, Snickers and Milky Way, will be located at 1600 Broadway at 48th Street, map. Hershey's is located at 1593 Broadway.
