Jewish Museum now free on Saturdays

katz_blackdress.jewishmuseum.jpgLike many other cultural institutions in town, the Jewish Museum has raised its admission price, but at least it's expanded its free hours.

The Jewish Museum is now free every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. While most of the exhibits will be open, the cafe, shops, interactive electronics and children's exhibition will be closed in honor of the Sabbath.

Regular adult admission is now $12, up from $10.

Current exhibitions at the museum include "Alex Katz Paints Ada" and "Masters of American Comics."

The Jewish Museum is located at 1109 Fifth Ave. at 92nd Street, map.
