Grinch's red and white set brought to you by Target
If you've got a problem with product placement on Broadway, you're going to think "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! -- The Musical" is way off target.
The Post delivers the bad news:
The show is bathed in red-and-white sets, costumes and clothes - which just happen to match the advertising of its corporate sponsor, Target. And ...Eagle-eyed Post critic Clive Barnes was at a preview the other day when he noticed that the show's design and color scanned like "a subtly subliminal commercial."
A spokesman for Target noted that "several enhancements" were made to the show since its San Diego run, including new costumes and set design, adding that "this holiday classic . . . fits perfectly with our brand." Tonight is opening night for the Grinch on Broadway. It plays through January 7 at the Hilton Theatre, located at 213 W. 42nd St., map.
