'Sky Mirror' in need of Windex
Wondering why Anish Kapoor's immensely popular "Sky Mirror" was only scheduled for a short stay at Rockefeller Center? CultureGrrl (Lee Rosenbaum) may have hit upon a reason:Will someone please use some Bounty paper towels (preferably soaked in cleaning solution) on Anish Kapoor's Sky Mirror?
Nearing this Friday's announced end of its five-week display at New York's Rockefeller Center, its "polished stainless steel" urgently needs polishing: Its cloudiness is not just a reflection of the sky, and it also bears numerous vertical stains that seem to be issuing from the seams between its steel segments.
