sammyshalal.2006vendywinner.gifSamiul Haque Noor from "Sammy's Halal" last night was named the best New York City food cart vendor for 2006 in the second annual Vendy Awards.

The 36-year-old Noor, an immigrant from Pakistan, told the Daily News the secret is in the spices.

Piedad "the Arepa Lady" Cano at Roosevelt Avenue between 78 & 79th streets in Queens, serves Colombian-style arepas

Thiru "Dosa Man" Kumar at Washington Square South and Sullivan Street, serves Sri-Lankan style vegan fare.
