MoMA to open on Tuesdays for the holidays
Seeing as how the Met earlier this year matched the Museum of Modern Art when it came to expensive entry fees ($20,) MoMA is picking up one of the Met's moves and will stay open extra days during the holidays.
Normally closed on Tuesday, MoMA will open its doors on six holiday weeks from November to April. (The Metropolitan Museum of Art opens on some Monday holidays.)
The MoMA Tuesday schedule:
Nov. 21 (before Thanksgiving)
Dec. 19 (during Chanukah week)
Dec. 26 (day after Christmas)
Jan. 2 (after New Year's Day)
April 3 (before Easter/Passover)
April 10 (during Easter/Passover week)
Upcoming holiday Mondays at the Met Museum for 2007:
Jan. 15 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
Feb. 19 (Presidents' Day)
May 28 (Memorial Day)
It's also worth noting that the Met's admission price is "suggested;" you can actually pay as little as a penny. MoMA admission is free, but especially crowded, every Friday from 4 ro 8 p.m.
