Average NYC hotel rate climbing toward $300 for fall
This fall, the average New York City hotel rate will approach $300 a night, PKF Consulting told Crain's business newspaper.
For the first seven months of 2006, the average room rate hit $241, a level that's already pricing out travelers who are avoiding New York or shortening their stays, according to Crain's.
