'Sky Mirror' at Rockefeller Center through Oct. 27

skymirror.jpg

London-based artist Anish Kapoor's 23-ton concave mirror called "Sky Mirror" was firmly in place in Rockefeller Center today for a five week run.

skymirror.base.jpgThe sculpture brings the top of 30 Rock into view on one side and makes fish-eye puzzle of Fifth Avenue on the other.

It sits at the edge of Rockefeller Center's Channel Gardens, making it even more tempting for camera-toting tourists to take just one more, one more step back - into the unforgiving bus lane on Fifth Ave.

It's there until October 27.

More pictures after the jump.
