A mid-afternoon CBS Early Show taping

kennychesney.fifthave.cbs.jpg

Sometimes it feels like its hard not to trip over some show taping something somewhere in Manhattan. Crain's reports that filming is up in New York City by 35 percent, with a total of 31,570 "shooting days" in 2005.

This afternoon, The CBS Early Show featured a live concert at Fifth Avenue from country heartthrob Kenny Chesney. On regular days, you can just show up at 8 a.m. for the weather segment and "Join the fun and be on national TV!"

The CBS Early Show tapes near the southwest corner of Central Park at Fifth Avenue and 59th Streets.
