The views from the Williamsburgh Savings Bank

The 19th floor observation deck of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank was open to the public on Sunday as part of the Fort Greene Association House Tour.
The building, the tallest in Brooklyn, is currently undergoing a conversion that will turn it into condos known as One Hanson Place within a year. The cathedral-like ground floor, with its intricate mosaics, stained-glass windows and wrought steel ornamentation, has been leased to Borders books.
During the tour, visitors were allowed into the ground-floor space and to the 19th floor's two observation decks (with a stop at the 16th to switch elevators.) The 19th floor, which guides said will be known as a floor somewhere in the 20s as the commercial space below allows for some mysterious recounting. The floor open for the tours will be private space belong to an individual (or possibly two,) condo owners. However a representative from One Hanson Place said the 20th, 24th and 26th floors will have outdoor communal space open to the buildings' residents. There will be no outdoor space open to the public, he said.
