New York Harbor greets world's biggest cruise ship

freedomoftheseas.jpgThe world's largest cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas, arrived in the New York Harbor this morning and will remain in the area for the next several days.

Rising 208 feet above the water line, nearly twice as tall of the Statue of Liberty, the ship is outfitted with a surf park, ice rink, boxing ring, rock-climbing wall and cantilevered whirlpools.

The ship will make stops at Pier 92 on the west side of Manhattan, Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ, and it will anchor Friday morning near the Statue of Liberty. Royal Caribbean news release has details on where and when to best see the ship.
