An Adirondack hiking blog leads the way

If you're planning a trip upstate for hiking, you should know about the Adirondack Base Camp blog, which has put together a collection of maps and guides to the region.

The blog also has semi-frequent updates on birding, other wildlife and the types of critters you're not likley to find in Manhattan unless they've mysteriously snuck into Central Park.

(Link found via World Hum and the Maine Web Report, written by a blogger who is being sued for ridiculing his state's draft tourism ad campaign, which among other things, "features a phone sex number instead of the real number to call for Maine tourism information.")
