230 Fifth on the road to best new rooftop bar title

230fifth.urbandaddy.jpg

230 Fifth, which isn't even open to the public yet, sounds like it has the makings to become the hottest new bar for the summer, according to the lowdown at UrbanDaddy.com.

Located on the roof of the New York Market Center building a few blocks north of the Flatiron, 230 Fifth is outfitted with palm trees, wooden benches and 360-degree, 21st-floor views of Manhattan. The floor below -- "Studio 54-meets-penthouse lounge" -- is part of the package as well.

The place opens to the public Thursday night with drinks only. Soon enough, Malaysian snack food will be on the menu from the same man behind the West Village's Fatty Crab.

230 Fifth is located exactly where you think it would be, map.
