Rebranded Exchange Hotel opens near Wall Street

exchangehotel.jpgThe Exchange Hotel officially opened near Wall Street earlier this week after its 53 rooms were gutted and upgraded from its former life as the Manhattan Seaport Suites.

Rooms start at $199 and are stocked with a SONY Dream Machine, Tarocco bath products, microwave, mini-refrigerator and full kitchens in some rooms. The price includes breakfast and free wi-fi in all rooms and the lobby.

The hotel's restaurant and lounge is expected to open May 1, Rebecca Kollaras, the hotel's publicist, told NewYorkology.

The hotel is offering two specials available if you book by phone. The Fly Me to the Moon package includes one night in a suite, a helicopter sightseeing tour, champagne, chocolates and a Frank Sinatra CD for $599. (Travel + Leisure magazine calls it one of April's best deals, a 56 percent savings.)

The other package is Girlshop 'til You Drop, a two-night getaway offered in a partnership with Girlshop.

The Exchange Hotel is located at 129 Front Street, map.
