NY state ends 4 pct sales tax on clothes under $110

Starting today, the state of New York has eliminated its 4 percent sales tax on all clothing and footware priced under $110. Since New York City earlier eliminated its sales tax in the same category, customers will now pay no tax on qualifying items, Newsday reports.
