Average Manhattan hotel room expected to hit $245
The average Manhattan hotel room will rise to $244.79 this year, an increase of 9.5 percent over 2005, according to the calculations of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the New York Times reports.
Although those numbers vary slightly from other organizations' calculations, no matter whose numbers you look at, it's not cheap.
Update: USA Today's HotelHotsheet blog reports that average daily rate in NYC during the first week of April was $221.95, up $25 from 2005.
