A hotel package with an in-flight Carnegie Deli meal

As more airlines are cutting back in-flight meals options, New York's Buckingham Hotel is stepping up to fill the void in a pretty stellar fashion by sending its departing guests to the airport with a box lunch of corned beef on rye from Carnegie Deli, pickles and a Dr. Browns Crème Soda.

The Buckingham's "NYC To Go" special, which includes a room at the suite level, is available through May 31st for $285 per night to guests who use the promotional code "DELI" when booking.

buckinghamhotel.frontdoor.jpgThe 75-year-old Buckingham, located not far from Carnegie Hall, offers guests access to a lending library of live Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center performances on CD and DVD; plays Carnegie Hall-themed movies by night on the flat-panel television in the Patrons' Lounge, (it's tuned to CNBC during the day;) and provides in-room high-speed anywhere-Internet.

The Buckingham Hotel is located at 101 West 57th St. at 6th Avenue, map. The Carnegie Deli is located at 854 7th Ave., map.
