Hudson named one of country's coolest small towns

Hudson, a little antiques/writers enclave two hours north of New York City, was picked as one of the coolest small towns in the U.S.A. by Budget Travel Online.

Exiles from Le Bernardin, Michael's and Union Square Café have started a resturant and a fashion designer whose women's clothing is sold at Barneys and Fred Segal opened his only stand-alone store in Hudson.

From the Budget Travel story:

"Five minutes away, you're in farmland," Jeff (Gimmel) says. "Yet in town, it feels like lower Manhattan--you can see art, get a nice bottle of wine, and still do Pilates."
