Westminster Kennel Club to descend on Garden

cityrag.dogshow.jpg

The 130th Annual Westminster Kennel Club comes to Madison Square Garden on February 13 and 14, all competing for the famous Best of Show title.

165 breeds and varieties will be on display -- from the long-coat Chihuahua to the Black and Tan Coonhound.

If you go, check out the advice offered up by CityRag, a blogger who loves the dogs and has spent some time at the show. Among her suggestions is to go backstage where the high-maintenance grooming takes on new meaning. "All the dogs spend the day in a big hall and the trainers talk to you and let you pet the dogs," says CityRag.

Admission is $35 each day, $60 for a 2-day pass, and $100 if you want a reserved seat for both days. You can buy online through Ticketmaster.
