'Legally Blonde' on Broadway seeks frat-boy types

A musical of the Reese Witherspoon movie "Legally Blonde" is targeting a life on the Broadway stage beginning in 2007, according to Playbill.

In the 2001 comedy, Witherspoon's frou-frou LA-girl follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law and saves the day with her integrity and smarts.

Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell will direct and choreograph. The production is in the workshop phase but no casting or specific Broadway dates have been announced. The casting notice says they're seeking "Abercrombie & Fitch fraternity and sorority types," Playbill reports.
