'Darwin' extends run at Natural History Museum

darwinsnotebook.amnh.jpg"Darwin" will be extended at the American Museum of Natural History through August 20, museum officials confirmed to NewYorkology today.

Billed as the most in-depth exhibition ever mounted on Charles Darwin, the show was originally scheduled to close May 29. The exhibit includes his hand-written notebooks in which he first described natural selection, as his bible, magnifying glass, telescope and pistol. "Darwin" now has an extensive website to complement the exhibit.

Among the living creatures on display at the museum are two Galapagos Tortoises, which have their own webcab.
