No baker's dozen on cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery

lazysunday.bakersdozen.jpgBad news for anyone hoping to score to emulate "Lazy Sunday" rap heroes and order up a baker's dozen of cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery.

"Because we bake the old-fashioned way and have very high demand there is a one dozen cupcake per person limit," states the sign in the Bleecker Street window of the popular shop.

That means if you're looking for the baker's dozen, you'll need a member of your posse to crowd into the West Village shop with you to buy any more than 12.

magnolia.dozenlimit.jpgSo much for the "Baker's Dozen" spinoff T-shirt.

And at $1.75 each, you'll need more than a couple Hamiltons, baby.

Here are the relevant lyrics from "Lazy Sunday."

But first, my hunger pangs are sticking like duct tape,
let's hit up Magnolia and mack on some cupcakes.

No doubt, that bakery's got all the bomb frosting.
I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Gosling.

Two, no six, no 12 – baker’s dozen!
I told you that I'm crazy for these cupcakes, cousin!
