yearofhedog.jpgThe New Year's Day Firecracker Ceremony this Sunday has been moved to Chatham Square, according to Chinatown's Lunar New Year event organizers.

Chatham Square, map, is located in Chinatown near the intersections of Broadway, Bowery, Division, Mott and Worth streets.

The Culture Festival will still take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the original location, Mott and Bayard.

Chinatown's 3rd Annual Lunar New Year Flower Market continues today, Saturday, January 28th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Columbus Park.

Next weekend, the 7th Annual Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade will take place on Sunday, February 5th at 1 p.m., starting with a ceremony at Canal and Mott Streets. The parade will travel east to Bowery, south on Bowery, up East Broadway, then to Division and back to Bowery, up Bowery to Grand, then back down Mott.

That same day, a culture festival will take place 3 p.m. from 5 p.m. at Mott at Bayard streets.
