Chocolate + booze = The Double Seven

A fancy cocktail, a little Parisian chocolate, a cozy lounge in a former meat locker, what could be more romantic?

Bon Appetit's February issue is flush over The Double Seven, which serves just about every one of its 80-some cocktails with a specially-paired chocolate from DeBauve & Gallais, a brand that normally sells for about $88 a pound.

A dark chocolate ginger ganache, for examle, comes with the Pimm's Rangoon, a mix of Pimm's No. 1, ginger beer, cucumber slices, an orange wheel, a strawberry and a lime wedge.

The Double Seven is located at 418 W. 14th St., map.
