Chinese firm leases five top floors of WTC 7 - Crain's

WTC7.jpgA Chinese firm has signed a deal to lease the top five floors of the first new skyscraper at the World Trade Center site, Crain's is reporting, citing an unnamed "official familiar with the terms."

Beijing Vantone Real Estate Co. has leased 200,000 square feet of 7 World Trade Center for a little more than $50 per-square-foot, making it the biggest tenant of the new building nearing completion just north of the Ground Zero site.

New York Academy of Sciences and Ameriprise Financial are the building's only other confirmed tenants in the 52-story building.

For more coverage of the pace of reconstruction since the September 11, 2001 attacks, see Curbed's World Trade Center Redevelopment archives.
