Air record: nearly 100 mln NY passengers in 2005

The three airports serving New York City -- JFK, LaGuardia and Newark -- handled almost 100 million passengers in 2005, making it the busiest airspace in the country, according to preliminary numbers released by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The numbers are a 6 percent increase over 2004.
