2005 average room rate was $207 - NY Hotel Assoc.
This isn't necessarily the definitive word, but the Hotel Association of New York City told USA Today the average hotel room rate in 2005 was $207, up 14 percent from 2004.
And that's expected to rise 5 percent to 10 percent in 2006.
