NYC tourism group: buy tennis shoes, avoid pedicabs

NYC & Co., the city's official tourism office, has put together a guide to Alternative Transportation Tips for Visitors during the transit strike, which also suggests stores that sell good walking shoes.

There's also a warning to avoid the pedicabs:

Beware of pedicabs, unmarked cabs or other unlicensed vehicles. Do not accept rides from any vehicle that is not licensed by the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
