New York City transit strike via web cam

If you want to watch the impact of the MTA transit strike from the comfort of your home computer, try some of the New York City web cams, where you can see hundreds of commuters walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, Fifth Avenue entirely shut down except for emergency vehicles and traffic gridlock at bridges and tunnels leading into Manhattan.

Greenwich Village

Update: See Alkemis Local for a city map with an overlay of web cams. Click on "traffic cams" (at left,) and then click on any pushpin for a pop-up view of that location's web cam. (Link found via Late Final.)
