New airport security rules take effect Thursday
Starting tomorrow the U.S. Transportation Security Administration will start allowing some scissors and other sharp objects as airline carry-on items, relaxing restrictions put in place after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
Corkscrews, nail clippers, screwdrivers up to 7 inches long and tweezers are among the items now allowed. The full list is online.
